Diplomirao arheologiju na Filozofskom fakultetu u Beogradu, gde je magistrirao i doktorirao. Viši naučni savetnik Arheološkog instituta SANU iz Beograda. Inicijator i dugogodišnji rukovodilac projekta istraživanja arheometalurgije na centralnom Balkanu.

He received his degree from the archeology on the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, where he had received his M.A. degree, and his Ph. D. degree, later. He is senior research adviser of the Institute of Archeology SANU, in Belgrade. He is initiator and administrator of research project concerning archeometalurgy on Central Balkan. Photo Paun Es Durlić October, 1999. godine.      

Dr Borislav Jovanović na Rudnoj Glavi, lokalitetu koji je otkrio, istražio i afirmisao. Pionirski naučni rad dr Jovanovića na području arheometalurgije, bacio je potpuno novo svetlo na poznavanje procesa prelaska iz kamenog doba u doba metala. Na slici: scena sa snimanja naučno-obrazovnog filma o rađanju arheometalurgije, u produkciji RTV Novi Sad. Snimio Paun Es Durlić juna 1998. godine.      

Dr Borislav Jovanović  on Rudna Glava, locality he had discovered, explored and made famous. Dr Jovanović is considered to be the pioneer in the field of Archeometallurgy. His scientific researches  have thrown compleatly new light upon the understanding of transition from The Stone Age to The Metal Age. On the photograph you can see taking the shots of the film of both scientific and educational value, about the birth of Archeometallurgy, RTV Novi Sad production. Taken by Paun Es Durlić, in June 1998.
